For me, Hobibear shoes are better than Crocs because they make the whole Crocs experience better.
They are as light, comfortable, and durable as Crocs too. I have been wearing Hobibears for about a year now. They are definitely one of my favorite brands of shoes.
I have a pair of shoes that I have worn for more than a decade. They are a good example of why I prefer Hobibear shoes to most other brands.
The first time I wore them, they were stiff and uncomfortable. I thought about returning them, but instead, I just kept wearing them, and they gradually became comfortable.
As the years roll by, they have been on many adventures with me: hiking, kayaking, climbing mountains, wandering around foreign cities.
In all that time, the sole has never fallen off or cracked or even shown any signs of wear. They are still as comfortable as the first time I wore them.
They are also weirdly stylish and attractive, though my wife says I am not stylish and attractive enough to pull them off. But what she doesn’t know won’t hurt her feelings.
They aren’t perfect: some parts of the leather are not as soft as others; some threads have come loose here and there; the tongue is a little too short to be fully breathable; and if you step in a big pile of cow dung, it might be hard to get out again.
But overall, they are excellent shoes. And probably the best part is the price: $50.
Similarities between Crocs and Hobibear
- They both are cushioning fit shoes
- They are waterproof
- Both are secured feet and easy to wear
Cushioning fit
If you go to a shoe store, you will see many shoes with “cushioning.” What does that word mean? If the shoe has an insole, it definitely has cushioning. But shoes can have other kinds of cushioning too.
For example, the soles of Hobibear shoes are usually made of rubber or carbon fiber. Those materials change their shape when force is applied to them, so they act as natural shock absorbers. That’s cushioning by design, not by accident.
If you have flat feet, or fallen arches, or just tired feet, you’ve felt it before. That initial impact is what shoes are for: to damp the shock by absorbing the force of the landing; cushioning.
A shoe with cushioning makes it easier to stay on your feet—with both shoes; you’d feel more comfortable while standing still.
They are waterproof
Keeping your feet dry in the rain means having some sort of covering between your feet and the outside world.
That covering will need to be impermeable by water. How can you put something impermeable between your body and the world outside? Get a pair of Crocs, or better still… a pair of Hobibear.
The impermeability of Hobibear does not work by magic. For example, if you go swimming wearing a bathing suit, your skin stays dry inside the suit, but your hair gets wet through the bathing suit material.
On the other hand, if you wear a raincoat, your skin stays dry even though raindrops get through the coat’s material.
What’s going on? Well, what happens when water falls on ordinary material? It gets absorbed into it.
And what happens when water gets absorbed into a waterproof material like Hobibear faux leather? It forms tiny droplets that roll around until they find a hole or a crack or an imperfection in the material’s structure where they can leak out again.
Both have secured fit and are easy to wear
We are all different. My feet are not like your feet. My feet are not like my other foot. That means that shoes are hard to design well.
The problem is that it’s hard to shape shoes according to the precise contours of the human foot. That seems obvious, but you might think there would be a way around it.
For example, if your feet are different from each other, wouldn’t it be good enough to make a lacing system or a strap to put everything together? Both shoes use the latter style.
The best decision to make is to choose shoes with adjustable fit. One way would be to use the clasps on both brands so you can tighten or loosen them.
We all know how these things can be important, especially when you’re walking around town, and you really don’t want your shoes coming undone while you’re running for the train or something like that.
Another thing is that Crocs uses this fitting system to their advantage as the flexible material can adjust itself to your foot shape. P.S they are not expensive.

Design
Not everyone can wear high-top design shoes. If you have wide feet, or large bunions, or ankles that swell in the heat, or a propensity to develop athlete’s foot from walking barefoot in your shoes, you might find Hobibears shoes uncomfortable.
Hobibears are not orthotic compared to the Crocs brand.
Also, I was thinking about the relative merits of high-tops. I decided that high-top shoes are better if you have to walk a long distance, particularly in steeper areas if there is a chance of stumbling and falling. (e.g. hiking.)
The fabric used for Hobibears is usually faux leather, fur, PVC, or cotton. This type of shoe is popular in the winter, although not everybody them, it is still one of the most well-reviewed footwear of the past years. This is mostly due to the fact that their PVC coating and fleece lining.
Crocs are usually low-top shoes, mostly open-designed. They typically have an open front and virtually have no laces but heel straps instead. These shoes are popular among fans of pop culture. Unlike most other forms of footwear, they are often made out of Croslite.
Crocs keep the feet cool, rather than warm and can also be referred to as flip-flops depending on their design and how they are worn.
If your feet and ankles are vulnerable to injury, your Hobibears will protect them. You can trip and fall on the top of a Crocs shoe, but not that easy with Hobibears.
On the other hand, if you will be spending most of your time sitting or lying down, Crocs will keep your feet cooler than high-tops due to its natural breathability.
But if you will be wearing thick socks or stockings with your Crocs, then there will be no difference in warmth between the two kinds of shoes.
Breathability
One of the most striking differences between Hobibears and Crocs is the thickness of the insole. The former consists of padded insoles and outsoles which is a fundamental part of the shoe’s concept.
This is to protect your feet from environmental factors. Shoes with a compact fit like the Hobibear ensure a snugger fit for more support too.
Crocs with breathable fit have thinner soles in order to allow more airflow. If you wear both brands with the same fit as an experiment, you will discover that Crocs are way more breathable and less prior to internal injuries like sores and blisters.
It is also important to note that shoes with a less-breathable fit have smaller midsoles but they aren’t closer to the ground like others in that category. The advantage of this is that they feel more solid, protective, and comfortable, especially for kids.
The downside is that they may feel stiffer and less flexible, especially if you are used to shoes with a lot of cushioning. You will prefer to wear it for shorter periods (outside in winter).
Crocs have a wider midsole and thus more cushioning. The advantage is that they may be better for simpler use.
The one disadvantage, however, is that they may feel less solid, especially if you don’t need as much support as the shoes offer.
Materials
Croslite is a foam made of unique resin, like rubber. Shoes that have it are lighter and don’t wear out faster.
But because they are lighter, they don’t protect you against shocks as well as Hobibear footwear. Croslite is one very tough material though and it will support your feet like many other quality shoes.
Hobibear is made of a wide range of materials including PVC. PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride, a common compound for making great shoes. The same is the case with furs, cotton, canvas, and faux leather.
Shoes with Croslite and shoes with PVC perform pretty much the same way. They may be equally good for comfort, casual dress-up, affordability. But they are not, in fact, exactly the same.
If you need a pair of shoes that will get you through the day but you don’t mind if they get smelly, then PVC shoes like Hobibear are probably better for you than Croslite shoes (Also, if you love high-tops!).
Also, if you care about sustainability and don’t run marathons either, then Hobibears is perfect for you.
On the other hand, if you care about the feet’ moisture, then it’s better to get Crocs. Only by looking at both materials’ advantages and disadvantages can you decide which kind is best.
Product variation
Hobibear shoes inculcate the art of weather shoe finishing with its insulating system. This is further revolutionized by the use of fleece lining in the finishing. No longer is warm, comfortable, and dry feet a luxury for those who can afford it.
Weather shoes with fleece lining Insulation are a breakthrough in both comfort and durability. The design will make you look good and maintain the desired appearance even after years of constant use.
People will tell you Crocs do not possess special features; the whole concept is special, to begin with! Croslite is an extremely unique piece of resin material and this makes Crocs always feel great to wear; soft, warm lightweight, and cushioning!
Aside from the fact that they are orthotic, they are also durable-lasting for years because it is impossibly easy to clean.
Simply wipe them down with a damp cloth! Crocs are also suitable for both men and women and come in a wide range of colors and styles so you can choose the ones you like best!
Toe box
Shoes that have a closed-toe box-like Hobibear and many other brands make your feet feel like they are in a cozy little home.
That is the reason why some people say that such shoes make them feel as if they are walking on pillows. These shoes make your feet feel as if they are snug and secure inside them.
This is due to the fact that the toes have a snug fit in the shoe and your toes do not move around a lot inside them.
Oppositely, Crocs give you the feeling that you have more space for your toes to move around in. So it feels as if you have more space for your toes to move. This betters your sense of foot control.
In terms of weight though, closed-toe box shoes tend to be heavier because there is more material used in making them. Hobibear consists of numerous cushioning materials, unlike Crocs which have just one system; Croslite.
They use less material in making them because there is no need for any extra fabric or lining at the front of the shoe where there is already ample space.
Conclusion
You can wear your Hobibear even in the coldest weather. The patented comfy weather shoes have a soft fleece lining which can be taken out during the summer months too.
The cleverly designed crisscrossing straps at the front and back prevent slipping and provide a snug fit, while the soft rubber soles with their grip ensure that your feet stay firmly on the ground.
The thick midsole is made from shock-absorbing faux leather and PVC material which provides gentle cushioning and is also ideal for use on hard floors.
The Hobibear is also extremely durable and easy to clean, so it keeps its great futuristic looks for a long time. Due to their flexibility, the shoes can be worn comfortably over any type of sock.
There is so much here that is missing in Crocs. I prefer Crocs shoes but Hobibears are functional, comfort monsters.
