All Koolaburra UGGs shoes are true to size. Koolaburra UGGs is a brand that manufactures shoes not only for adults but for children too.
Since they started production in 1991, their shoes have been made with sheep fur, distinguishing them from other brands. They are also lined with faux fur that gives a warm cozy feel.
With time, however, the fur will flatten giving the shoes more room. Due to this inevitable change, it is advised that when buying your Koolaburra UGGs shoes you buy a size that fits snug and perfect so that later on when the lining is flattened they are not loose or feel too big.
This is also very important for people with narrow feet because you may not feel the difference if you have wide feet. I recommend buying a size down because they come in half sizes.
Is Koolaburra by UGGs any good?
What many people don’t know is that Koolaburra is a sister company to UGGs. To be clear, UGGs is the lead brand and Koolaburra is the younger modern member of UGGs.
Koolaburra footwear by UGGs is cheaper and has the same quality as UGGs footwear. They not only sell well but a lot of good things have been said about them.
Usually, I am skeptical to buy from a different brand or company but reviews on the shoes as well as heightened sales are an assurance. The main difference is the absence of the faux fur lining in the Koolaburra shoes.
They may also have thinner soles, but they are just the same quality as UGGs. Many people have noticed a bit of fur that sticks out of the Koolaburra. Not to worry, that fur is genuine sheep fur.
Do Koolaburra boots run small?
Just like UGGs, Koolaburra produces many footwears including boots. And just like UGGs, they are true to size.
That means if you wear a 7 you should buy a 7. However, unlike the UGGs boots, they do not have faux fur lining.
The lining will usually flatten after a lot of wearing and leave the shoe roomier than it was when you bought it, making it necessary to get a size that will be snug and perfect.
This is not the same for Koolaburra boots. They don’t have fur lining, so you should order your size. Sizing up will be unnecessary because the shoes will not magically become smaller.
This is important irrespective of the color or design you want to get. If your feet are unusually narrow then you have to size down. You don’t have a choice. Also, Koolaburra boots do not come in half sizes.
If you wear a 7.5 get an 8. Don’t size down. Better a bit bigger than tight. Here is a size chart for Koolaburra boots for men and women.
This should help you pick the right size equivalent to your shoe size especially if you don’t know the USA and UK sizing. Also, some boots come in half sizes.

Do UGGs boots fit wide feet?
Yes, they fit wide. UGGs boots take into consideration diverse feet and manufacture their boots to accommodate them. So all you have to do is get UGGs boots that are specifically for wide feet.
The same applied to all other footwear under UGGs like sneakers, flip flops, and sandals. They also come in many designs and apply to both genders.
However keep in mind that since UGGs stretch out because the fur lining will flatten eventually, you don’t want your wide size to be too big.
Can you use dawn dish soap on UGGs?
Yes, you can use dawn dish soap to clean your UGGs. It is way too good for just dishes.
When cleaning your UGGs, you have to be very careful so you don’t ruin the material and the coloring.
It is mild, non-toxic, smells nice and it is not harmful to the skin. If you are very eco-friendly, they are biodegradable. That’s a win for everyone. It’s good for salt stains on your UGGs boots.
By salt, I am talking about the one that stains your shoes if you have been walking through the snow. Water stains won’t be what you try to get rid of but salt stains. Also, they are good for grease or grime stains.
How to keep your UGGs from slouching
No one likes their boots looking like something the cat dragged in. So how do we stop them from slouching? Here are a few tips you should try:
Newspaper trick
I talk about this a lot, don’t I? Well, it is very effective. This method is however different from the others. All you have to do is stuff your boots with scrunched-up newspaper.
They should not be wet at all. Just make sure they fill out the boots. Leave them in when you are not wearing them. The newspaper will serve as a mold and the boots will retain the shape because of the newspaper mold.
Keep them on top of the rack
Your boots are probably slouching because something else is leaning on them so they are squashed against something. Here you have to give them the VIP treatment.
Yes, sirree! Your top-of-the-line UGGs deserves no lesser treatment. That’s why you should keep them on top of the shoe rack or cupboard. There. Safe from any type of disfiguring pressure.
Be careful how you walk
It is common to feel very comfortable in your shoes to the point where you start to stress them by overextending your feet.
How? The way you place your feet, folding your toes so that the upper touches the floor, and the fold of the sole, all can cause slouching especially if you stay in that position for hours.
Your UGGs will gradually take the shape that you fold or bend them into. Soon you have a pair of high-quality boots looking like they fought in world war 1 and 2.
How do you get mold out of your UGGs?
Since UGGs are manufactured with sheepskin, with moisture, dirt, and a lot of wear, there will be mold growing at a corner of your UGGs boots with time. Luckily I am here with a simple method.
- You will need two dry cloths, a disinfectant, an antifungal spray, a little baking soda, and warm water.
- First, you have to make a cleaning solution out of your disinfectant and warm water.
- Both the warm water and disinfectant should be of equal quantities.
- I will recommend Scholl. It has both a disinfectant and antifungal spray, both very effective.
- Dip a cloth into the solution and clean the inside of the boots completely. This will get every other dirt out of the boots.
- Then for the mold. Spray a bit of the antifungal spray on the second cloth and start rubbing the area where the mold is growing.
- Focus on it and rub in circular motions. If the cloth has too much mold on it or you feel it is not as effective, you can use another part of the cloth, doing the same.
- Keep it up until the mold is out.
Now, I don’t have to tell you that the mold smells bad and you will have to get rid of the smell before they move to your feet. That is where baking soda comes in handy.
Sprinkle it all over the inside of the boots and leave for 12 to 24 hours. After that use another cloth to dust it all out. There! And that’s how you get mold out of your UGGs boots.
Conclusion
Okay! That’s a wrap. I hope you learned a thing or two about UGGs boots and how to take care of them.
